The PCA 500 is a complete solution for telehealth ECG needs. This revolutionary package includes patented prepositioned electrode strips, and the Personal Cardiac Assistant (PCA) 500 recorder. The QT ECG app is accessible by anyone, anywhere and includes unlimited HIPAA compliant cloud storage on the web dashboard.
By combining hospital-grade accuracy, mobile technology, advanced software, and cloud-based management, we have set a new standard in patient care. PCA 500 is the only FDA-cleared, hospital-grade 12-lead electrocardiogram that can be used for personal use. A patient can take their own ECG and send the report to their doctor instantly, without having to leave home.
Features and Benefits
- Simpler: Our pre-positioned electrode strip simplifies the setup and placement procedure, enabling everyone to perform a full 12-lead ECG. A detailed data view on the tablet with an on-screen virtual caliper allows for a fast lookup of interval and duration for doctors.
- Faster: No more placing 10 separate electrodes at specific locations on the body. Proven to save up to 70% of time during setup.
- Better: Even well trained, experienced technicians make mistakes– 2% of ECG tests have lead-placement errors that can lead to misdiagnoses. QT ECG™ eliminates the risk of such errors.
- Compact and Portable: This compact and portable ECG device allow doctors or patients to use it anytime, anywhere.
- Wireless: Long, disorganized cables are replaced by a simple, one-time-use electrode strip. We have eliminated the risk of errors from connecting the cables and decreased the risk of infection or contamination.
- Consistent Test Accuracy: Eliminates confusion between test result shifts caused by different lead placements versus actual clinical changes. QT ECG™ increases medical quality.
- Compact and wireless receiver can connect to phones or tablets via Bluetooth: Free app is compatible with both iOS and Android. From the app, users can view the live stream of the ECG and record a 10-second resting ECG.
- PDF results can be downloaded directly from the app or web dashboard
- Results can be instantly accessed by a physician or other personnel via the cloud, HIPAA compliant transmission
- Physicians can annotate ECGs in the web dashboard and can compare a patient’s ECGs side by side and lead by lead in the app
- Vent rate, PR interval, QRS duration, QT interval, corrected QT interval, and P-R-T axis are all shown, can change the gain and speed of the ECG in the app
- PCA 500 Electrode Strips
- A streamlined solution to placing 10 individual electrodes for the 12-lead ECG setup
- The electrode strip has 10 electrodes prepositioned within it
- V1-V6 and the ground electrode (RL) are integrated into the main body of the Strip. RA, LA, and LL are attached to the body of the strip
- Electrodes follow AHA/ACC/HRS standards for electrode placement
- 12 lead signals received: I, II, III, aVR, aVL, aVF, V1, V2, V3, V4, V5, V6
- There are two easy to follow landmarks on the electrode strip for efficient set up, app will alert user if certain leads are not connected properly or connection is poor
- Size (S, M, L, XL) is determined using the sizing guide
- For patients who are bigger than XL, the XL electrode strip will still provide an accurate reading, as it will still cover the entire chest cavity.
- In a clinical trial, 79% of study subjects were overweight or obese and this did not affect the quality of the results
- Electrodes are hydrogel, which means they have a conductive gel to increase the conductivity between the skin and the electrode, this is the most widely accepted type of electrode
- The strip is only intended for one-time use, once removed from the backing, the gel dries out within 3 hours. One piece disposable without long lead wires cuts down on cleaning time needed for patient to patient
- The electrode strip has 10 electrodes prepositioned within it
- A streamlined solution to placing 10 individual electrodes for the 12-lead ECG setup
- Recorder Information
- A fully charged battery lasts for approximately 16 hours of continuous use, which can last days to months depending on the frequency of use
- The battery takes approximately 1.5 hours to fully charge
- Requires micro-USB charging cable, the charging cable and wall charger provided in the PCA 500 case should be used with the device (slightly different than normal mini USB)
- Internet connection is needed to log in to the app and view previously recorded ECGs
- If already logged in, up to 100 ECGs can be recorded offline, these ECGs will be stored locally in the cache until an internet connection is re-established
